-Install code A: Most mirrors can be installed using this fit over method. If you see a fit over label on your mirror’s bubble bag you must use this code only. Burco® Mirror Catalog tech note “fits over existing broken mirror” applies.
-Install code B: Remove broken mirror glass. Please test fit your mirror and determine if this method can be used for your mirror.
-Install code C: Use this method for all heated mirrors with (H) in the Burco part number.
-Install code D: The gasket fit code applies to west coast style mirrors with visible rubber gaskets holding your mirror inside the mirror head. Gasket fit mirrors are fairly uncommon.
Installation codes are specific to each part. Your part specific install code is listed on the front label of your newly updated 2016 Redi Cuts® or Redi-Set-Go® box.

Yes. You can fix it yourself. Some mirrors are easier to install than others so it is always a great option to have it installed by a professional auto glass installer. Please view the mirror instructions page if you would like to do it yourself. If you are more of a “do it for me” type of person please find a Burco installer near you. Remember, our Break-Free Guarantee only applies when your Burco mirror replacement is professionally installed.

Secondly, take a look at the shape and match the shape of your mirror to the correct mirror shape in our mirror catalog. Heated icons can be found etched into your mirror. However, at many times the heated etching does not accompany heated mirrors. The only way to be sure that your mirror is heated is to check for the presence of wires behind your backing plate. Typically, the presence of two terminals attached to a heat grid will ensure that your mirror is heated. Burco part numbers with the suffix (H) denotes that it is a heated Burco mirror. All (H) parts are complete with a pre-applied heat grid.
E/C mirrors are typically thicker than mirrors without the auto-dimming function. The presence of wires can be a good indication of an E/C mirror but do not mistake heating wires for E/C wires. Typically, E/C wires are soldered directly to the glass. When E/C mirrors fail, you may see discoloration or a settling effect. We offer mirror glass replacements to replace your failed or broken E/C mirror. Burco mirrors do not auto dim.
Please return your mirror to the retailer in which your mirror was originally purchased. We are the manufacturer and do not accept returns. Please be sure to check your specific retailers’ return policy before initiating a return.
Many insurance companies do cover Burco mirror replacements. Please be sure to check with your insurance provider or the repair shop that is replacing your mirror.

Yes. We encourage the use of urethane based adhesives paired with our OEM strength double-sided Redi-Stick adhesive circles.
Yes. Modification of our OEM strength double-sided Redi-Stick adhesive circles is encouraged to ensure maximum coverage and adhesion for different mirror shapes. We recommend that you cut the circles with scissors before you remove the backing. Please use cut-resistant gloves, safety glasses, and follow proper safety precautions.
Yes. Window Glo™ is a versatile cleaner that is safe to use on carpets, trim, plastics, and many other applications. Please spot test before applying to a whole area. Use sparingly.

To be eligible for a return, you must contact Burco Inc for an RMA (Return Material Authorization) to be issued. Your item must be unused and in the same condition as you received it. The return must include the original packing slip to be accepted.

Flat mirrors are typically found on your driver’s side and have no curvature or radius.
Convex mirrors are typically found on your passenger’s side. Depending on the vehicle, convex side view mirrors can be found with different curvatures and radiuses.
Place a flat edge on your mirror’s surface. If there are gaps on the outer sides, your mirror is convex. Another good way to tell if your mirror is convex is by the presence of the “objects in mirror are closer than they appear” statement.
