Heated Redi-Set-Go® mirror replacements are complete with a pre-applied motor mount and heat grid. Your mirror must be originally heated to restore heating functionality. To know if your mirror is originally heated, check for the presence of heater wires behind your OE mirror/backing plate.

Wide angle Redi-Set-Go® mirror replacements come complete with a pre-applied motor mount. Burco WRSGs are manufactured using wide angle/aspheric mirror glass and radii separator laser etched into the mirror's reflective coating (if applicable).

Heated signal Redi-Set-Go® mirror replacements come complete with a pre-applied motor mount, heat grid, and turn signal light module. Your mirror must be originally heated and signaled to restore functionalities. Check for the presence of heater wires behind your OE mirror/backing plate.

What's Broken?

MOTOR HEAD ASSEMBLY/ACTUATOR

A Burco mirror replacement cannot connect to a broken motor head/actuator. In most cases, the entire mirror assembly needs to be replaced.

Typically, flat mirrors are found on your driver's side.

CONVEX

Convex mirrors can be found on your passenger's side. These mirrors are made using curved mirror glass.

ASPHERIC/WIDE ANGLE/EXPANDED VIEW

Aspheric mirrors feature a constant radius for the inner 2/3. The outer 1/3's radius decreases designed to help eliminate blind spots.

TWO-PIECE SPOTTER MIRROR SYSTEM

Spotter mirrors are the smaller mirror in a two-piece mirror system. Yes, we have these 'two'!

TWO-PIECE TRAILER TOW MIRROR SYSTEM

Trailer/tow mirrors are common on trucks and vans. They are convex and positioned in the lower or outside portion of a two-piece mirror system.

You need to know what type of mirror you have before you can replace it. Use these common symbols to help identify what type of mirror you have. It can be a combination of symbols.

HEATED

These mirrors are heated when your defrost function is turned on. They may or may not have a heated icon. The presence of heat wires is a good indication that your mirror is heated. Burco mirrors with part suffix H come complete with a pre-applied heat grid.

MANUAL ADJUSTED

Manual Mirrors are adjusted by manually moving the mirror.

POWER ADJUSTED

Powered mirrors are adjusted by using powered controls.

AUTO-DIMMING/ELECTROCHROMIC E/C

Auto-dimming or electrochromic mirrors automatically dim to reduce glare. Burco mirror replacements replace OE auto-dimming mirrors but do not auto-dim.

SIGNAL

Signal mirrors feature signal etching in the mirror's reflective coating. The signal is activated when your turn signal is turned on. Burco mirrors with part suffix S come complete with necessary turn signal etching.

CROSS PATH DETECTION

Cross path indicators let the driver know that something is approaching from the vehicle's rear blind spots. Burco mirrors with part suffix C come complete with applicable cross path etching.

BLIND SPOT DETECTION

Blind spot indicators notify the driver that something is in their blind spot. Burco Mirrors with part suffix B come complete with blind spot etched icon.

Measure your mirror glass. Measure horizontally from left mirror edge to right mirror edge.

Snap tab backing plate removal.

Follow these steps to remove a snap tab backing plate and mirror from your mirror head. Vehicle and glass parts are fragile. Install with care.

Step 1: REMOVE MIRROR AND BACKING PLATE

Manually pivot mirror downward by applying pressure to the lower portion of your mirror. Insert a screwdriver above mirror behind backing plate and carefully pry off backing plate snap tabs from the motor head.
TIP: Place a towel on edge of mirror head when prying off backing plate to prevent damage or scratching.

Step 2: DETACH WIRES

If your mirror is a heated variant, disconnect terminal leads from your mirror’s heating element. If applicable, auto dimming or signal wires may have to be disconnected or clipped and capped.
NOTE: Burco mirror replacements do not auto dim.

Step 3: DISPOSAL

Throw away your old backing plate and broken glass.

Step 4: RECONNECT WIRES & TEST

If your mirror is a heated or signal variant, reconnect terminal wires to Redi-Set-Go® mirror replacement. Test functionalities before proceeding to the next step.

Step 5: INSTALL

Align motor mount snap tabs with motor. Apply gentle even pressure until motor mount snaps onto motor head.

Step 6: CLEAN UP

Clean your installed Redi-Set-Go® mirror replacement with glass cleaner.

Slide tab backing plate removal.

Follow these steps to remove a slide tab backing plate and mirror from your mirror head. Vehicle and glass parts are fragile. Install with care.

Insert a screwdriver below your mirror and carefully slide tab locks off of tab lock guides by lifting/prying upward.
TIP: Lift/pry upward. Do not pry outward.
TIP: Place a towel on edge of mirror head when prying up to prevent damage or scratching.

Step 2: DETACH WIRES

If your mirror is a heated variant, disconnect terminal leads from your mirror’s heating element. If applicable, auto dimming or signal wires may have to be disconnected or clipped and capped.
NOTE: Burco mirror replacements do not auto dim.

Step 3: DISPOSAL

Throw away your old backing plate and broken glass.

Step 4: RECONNECT WIRES & TEST

If your mirror is a heated or signal variant, reconnect terminal wires to Redi-Set-Go® mirror replacement. Test functionalities before proceeding to the next step.

Step 5: INSTALL

Vertically align your Redi-Set-Go® mirror replacement toward the top of the mirror head. Apply gentle downward pressure and slide tab locks onto tab lock guides.
TIP: For more clearance, pivot motor head downward.

Step 6: CLEAN UP

Clean your installed Redi-Set-Go® mirror replacement with glass cleaner.

Upper hook lock backing plate removal.

Follow these steps to remove a upper hook lock backing plate and mirror from your mirror head. Vehicle and glass parts are fragile. Install with care.

Manually pivot mirror and backing plate upward by applying pressure on the upper portion of your mirror. Insert a screwdriver below your mirror and backing plate and carefully pry lower snap locks off the snap lock guides. Once lower snap locks pop off, pull down/out to release the upper hook locks from the hook lock guides.
TIP: Place a towel on edge of mirror head when prying off lower snap locks to prevent damage or scratching.

Step 2: DETACH WIRES

If your mirror is a heated variant, disconnect terminal leads from your mirror’s heating element. If applicable, auto dimming or signal wires may have to be disconnected or clipped and capped.
NOTE: Burco mirror replacements do not auto dim. You will lose this function.

Step 3: DISPOSAL

Throw away your old backing plate and broken glass.

Step 4: RECONNECT WIRES & TEST

If your mirror is a heated or signal variant, reconnect terminal wires to Redi-Set-Go® mirror replacement. Test functionalities before proceeding to the next step.

Step 5: INSTALL

Insert upper hook locks into the hook lock guides. Next, apply gentle pressure and snap lower snap locks into snap lock guides.
TIP: Be sure upper hook locks are fully seated before snapping lower snap locks into place.

Step 6: CLEAN UP

Clean your installed Redi-Set-Go® mirror replacement with glass cleaner.

Follow these steps to remove a lower hook lock backing plate and mirror from your mirror head. Vehicle and glass parts are fragile. Install with care.

Clean the installed Redi-Set-Go® mirror replacement with glass cleaner.

Tools Needed For Installation

The majority of these tools will be needed to remove your mirror and backing plate from the mirror head/actuator

Step 1: FLAT HEAD SCREWDRIVER

A flat head screwdriver or small pry bar is needed for removal of your mirror from the mirror head/actuator. Please follow steps.

Step 2: TOWEL

Use a towel so prying does not scratch paint. Also works for clean up.

Step 3: GLASS CLEANER

Use glass cleaner to prep surfaces for installation. Distributor exclusive Window Glo™ is recommended for use by glass professionals only.

Safety steps to prepare for installation

Please follow safety steps prior to installation.

Step 1: SAFETY GLASSES

Safety glasses are needed to protect eyes against flying glass or debris.

Step 2: CUT RESISTANT GLOVES

Cut resistant gloves must be worn when handling broken glass.

Step 3: LONG SLEEVES

A long sleeved shirt is recommended.

Step 4: PROPER VENTILATION

When working with adhesives and cleaners, proper ventilation is recommended.
